Everald Young Killed By Driver While Standing Near Truck

New details have been released by the Howard County Police Department after a 65-year-old man was killed in a crash earlier this week.

Officers from the Howard County Police Department were called shortly before 8:45 a.m. on June 20 to the 10500 block of Dorchester Way in Woodstock, where there was a reported crash involving Hyattsville resident Everald Young and a 2017 Toyota Corolla.

Police say that Young was standing next to a parked landscaping vehicle at the time he was struck.

Young was rushed to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, where he died later on Thursday from his injuries. The driver stayed at the scene.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
